Judo

Judo is one of the few martial arts to be a well established Olympic sport and it is one of the most popular martial arts in the world.

Judo is characterised by its many throws and takedowns. The art of Judo was formulated in the late 19th century by master Jigoro Kano based on his studies of styles like Kito Ryu. Kano was succeeded as head of the Kodokan by master Kyuzo Mifune, one of the founders of Kokusai Budoin.

Open to those trained under the BJA and BJC methods of Judo as well as other backgrounds.
