When the United Kingdom Budo Federation (UKBF) relaunched this year it was headed by technical directors Mark Wood (Jujutsu), Julian Mallalieu (Kobudo and Batto) and Simon Keegan (Karate and Jujutsu).

In the last few months the UKBF has welcomed another new instructor into the Karate division as one of the region’s most experienced instructors, Sensei Keith Prole joins us.

We also have two new schools joining our Aikido division, one led by Sensei Paul Wood and another led by Sensei Ian Watts.

Now we are honoured to announce that Sensei Lee Nelson (former student of our Jujutsu technical director Mark Wood) has joined us from his previous post as director of the World Ju Jutsu Federation. We are also joined by Sensei Andrew McConville and Sensei Neil Ceshwick.

In addition to our traditional UKBF divisions in Karate, Kobudo, Jujutsu, Judo, Batto/Iaido and Aikido we have also launched United Kingdom Universal Martial Arts (UKUMA) which caters for non-traditional or non-Japanese martial arts.

Within UKUMA we have first launched a Tai Chi division. The technical advisor is Sifu David Keegan and this division has also been joined by Ian Watts.
